Living Your Passion

We all begin imagining how we're going to be when we grow up. Then as we grow up and learn more about ourselves and how life really works, our career ideas may change and develop. As we experience new relationships, hobbies and events, we also develop some wider interests and ultimately we may become passionate about some of them.

It's these passions that make the stresses of life easier to bear. What may have been a strong passion in our early twenties may change in our forties or fifties. We may discover that the career we chose in our college days is no longer satisfying our real needs, especially once our basic needs have been satisfied. Perhaps where our passion was just to make enough money to pay the bills and then some, now our passions in our fifties may grow to include desires to help others and support causes bigger than ourselves. We typically grow in personal skills, and for instance we may find that we are talented in public speaking; and prefer to be talking about our passion and making money at the same time?

Unfortunately, many people fail to live a life filled with passion. Instead fearful of rejection or even of success, these fears keep many people from pursuing their dreams; many people simply don't have enough faith in themselves to reach for the stars.
